How we rank firms
Organic ordering is based on relevance to your search and the disclosed criteria below. We do not sell organic positions.
Relevance signals
When you sort by relevance, results are ordered using these signals:
- How closely your search terms match the firm's name, services, sectors and offices.
- Whether the firm lists the legal service you filtered by.
- Whether the firm has an office in the location you filtered by.
- Whether the firm lists experience in the industry you filtered by.
- Whether the profile has been claimed and kept up to date by the firm.
- Whether the firm is currently authorised according to SRA data.
Other sort options
You can also sort alphabetically by firm name, or by most recently updated. We do not offer a highest-rated sort, because we do not hold genuine, properly licensed review data.
Sponsored placements
There are currently no paid placements in the directory. If they are introduced, they will be visually distinct and clearly labelled as sponsored, and they will never be mixed silently into organic results.
